Terms of Service
By accessing botthebuilders.com (the "Site") or engaging Bot The Builders for services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site or our services.
1. About Bot The Builders
Bot The Builders is an independent service offering custom AI implementation, development, and consulting work to small businesses. Our flagship offering is the AI Quick Win Package — a $1,500 flat-fee engagement to build a custom AI tool tailored to one specific business workflow, delivered in 7 days.
2. Free tools on the Site
We provide free tools as portfolio samples (Proposal Builder, IFTA Calculator, Recipe Cost Calculator, Buyer Pre-Qualification Scoresheet, Family Invoice Generator, Detention Invoice Generator, Insurance Denial Appeal Letter Generator, Staff Schedule Builder). These are provided "as is" for demonstration and convenience.
By using the free tools, you understand and agree:
- All processing happens locally in your browser. We don't store or transmit the data you enter.
- Outputs (calculations, generated documents, PDFs) are templates, not professional advice. Verify with a licensed professional (attorney, CPA, doctor, agent) before relying on them for legal, financial, medical, or regulatory decisions.
- Industry data (IFTA rates, regulatory references) is based on publicly available information at the time of build. Always verify with current official sources before filing or submitting.
- We're not liable for any decisions made based on the tool outputs.
3. Service engagements
When you engage us for custom AI development work (Quick Win Package or otherwise), the specifics of that engagement are governed by a separate Statement of Work (SOW) signed by both parties. The SOW takes precedence over these general Terms for the specific engagement.
General principles that apply to all engagements:
- Delivery timeline: Quick Win Package delivers within 7 calendar days of kickoff. If we don't deliver within 14 days, you receive a 50% refund.
- IP ownership: You own the deployed tool, including source code. We retain the right to reuse general frameworks and approaches in other client work.
- Payment: Quick Win Package is $1,500 (50% on signing, 50% on delivery). Larger engagements scoped separately.
- Revisions: Up to 2 revision rounds included. Additional rounds at $250 each.
- Scope changes: Any work outside the agreed scope requires a written change order and additional fee.
- Support: 30 days of email/Slack support post-delivery is included.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site or our tools for any unlawful purpose.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary methods from the tools.
- Scrape the site at high volume in ways that degrade performance for other users.
- Misrepresent our work, false claim our endorsement, or use our brand without permission.
5. Intellectual property
The Bot The Builders name, logo, website design, and the source code of the free tools are our intellectual property. You may:
- Use the free tools for any business purpose at no cost.
- Share links to our site and tools freely.
You may not:
- Copy our site design wholesale to create a competing site.
- Republish our tool source code as your own product.
- Use our name or logo to imply endorsement without written permission.
6. Third-party services and APIs
Some of our paid client engagements integrate third-party APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, etc.). When applicable:
- You're responsible for your own API account and usage costs unless explicitly included in the SOW.
- Third-party services have their own terms and policies which apply.
- We're not liable for outages, policy changes, or pricing changes by third parties.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site and free tools are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bot The Builders is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, tools, or services. Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific engagement (or $0 if it was a free tool).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bot The Builders harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services in ways that violate these Terms, applicable law, or third-party rights.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate an active engagement with 14 days written notice. Work completed and expenses incurred up to the termination date are due upon final invoice. The Site itself may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Site or services after changes constitutes acceptance.
